Nuclear Age Peace Foundation
On Friday, February 10th 2012, the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF) visited GSD with the objective of briefing GSD students on nuclear disarmament and the abolition of nuclear weapons.
In addition, Mr. Ciobanu and Mr. Zaffran took the opportunity to explain how students could participate in the Debate on Nuclear Disarmament taking place in Geneva at Palais des Nations (UNOG) on Monday, February 27th, 2012 in the afternoon. A delegation would be selected from the UNOG debate to participate in the European Youth Project on Nuclear Disarmament, to be held in Vienna, Austria. Participants of this event, especially students, will have the opportunity to observe directly negotiations between States on the Preparatory Committee for the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), at the U.N. offices in Vienna on April 30th 2012.
