My time at GSD

As a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar from the United States, pursuing my international relations studies at the Geneva School of Diplomacy provided a unique opportunity to blend theory and practice by offering a platform to engage the local diplomatic community through internships, conferences and workshops. I valued this hands-on element and appreciated the way the professors put forth real-world applications for the coursework and lessons. In addition to a strong academic foundation, I believe GSD’s selling point is that it gives students the opportunity to access the work being done in the city and develop hard skills that they can then take into the workplace.  Along these lines, I was fortunate to be able to build a solid foundation of academic and professional experience in a dynamic, multi-cultural environment.   With internships at the 2010 Spanish Presidency of the European Union as well as the Office of the Director General at the United Nations Office in Geneva working on the Political Affairs, External Relations and Interagency Affairs team, I feel confident moving forward in a related career.
