Internships....Your First Step Towards Working in IR
With more than 190 international organizations, Geneva is the preeminent diplomatic crossroads of our time. This gives students the opportunity to build an international network and gain valuable work experience in the fields of human rights, disarmament, investment, trade, international law, conflict resolution and many other I.R. related fields.
The Geneva School of Diplomacy (GSD) helps students tap into the tremendous potential of this city through practical, hands-on trainings that assist them to establish relationships with Geneva-based international organizations. Our Bachelor and Master Students leverage the resources of GSD to participate in a wide variety of internship opportunities that complement their studies. Students of the Geneva School of Diplomacy have worked in a wide range of non-profit organizations and UN missions that confront issues ranging from working on programmes banning landmines to the development of nuclear policy, giving them a first hand glimpse into the inner workings of the diplomatic world.
