GSD and ITU collaboration ensured success of WSIS Forum 2012

During the week of May 14-18 2012, sixteen students from the Geneva School of Diplomacy (GSD) participated as "facilitators of remote participation" during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS Forum) hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which was held at the Conference Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

GSD students moderated the remote participation of over 150 sessions, including up to 10 parallel sessions and multilingual meetings. This collaboration with ITU provided GSD students with first-hand experience of multilateral diplomatic practices, as well as an opportunity to develop their networking abilities.
